You will have to remove the driver you installed with Envy before upgrading Ubuntu to a newer release otherwise you might not have success with the upgrade. See point “C” of the FAQ on my website for further details.

If you use an ATI legacy card you might want to upgrade to Envy 0.9.2-0ubuntu2 * Changed: ATI unofficial workaround for the legacy driver is no longer downloaded from phoronix (since they were removed) but from albertomilone.com
