Here is the changelog:
* Fixed: the detection of installed packages failed in certain cases
* Fixed: a few mistakes in the Norwegian and Russian translations
If Envy complained about the lack of some packages which it said it couldn’t install but which were already installed then this release will solve your problem.
Special thanks to cwillu, who made notice that I should have used dpkg --get-selections
instead of dpkg --list
. I’ll read the fine manual to the end in the future.
Ciao Alberto, complimenti per il tuo prog… veramente utile. In questa ultima versione è presente la beta dei driver Nvidia 169?
I would really like if during the process Envy could automaticaly enable AIXGL.
Thanks in advance, it would be very appreciated.

P.S.: Thanks for your last advice, it worked perfectly.
I am not able to understand italian, but if i interpret KvR’s comment correct he wants to know if you already have plans for releasing envy including NVIDIA’s 169 driver, so am I.
Do you have any plans to include this version in the near future ?
Many thanks for your great tool !

What is phorgit, I don’t understand. Can we install is it a software like envy?

When installing a new nvidia driver using envy, do I have to choose the uninstall driver(previous) option first then come back and do the install driver option or does envy detect and uninstall older versions?
thanks
I’ve used the prev Envy installer on a ThinkPad T61p (NV FX570M) with Ubuntu 7.10 and it worked flawlessly. Now, I can’t recover from the 0.9.9-2 installation, seems like the driver is incorrect.
How can I get the prev Envy/Driver?
I’m trying Synaptic/Restricted drivers manager, but no luck today.
Hi again, I’ve recovered using Synaptic/RDM. Ended up with driver version 2.1.2 NVIDIA 169.04.
se già non lo sai, ti segnalo l’uscita della versione 169.07
del driver nvidia
ciao
Released new nvidia driver, ver. 169.07, dec. 20, 2007
bye
Thanks again Alberto for Envy. I just wanted to say that I am anxiously awaiting support for 169.07 (with CUDA 1.1 support!).

Don’t worry, it won’t be a long wait 😉
